Hello there! As you consider your first step towards starting psychological therapy, I would like to share a bit more information to help you confirm your choice.
You may be feeling unsure about seeing a psychologist and opening up to someone new, especially if you’ve been through some tough times and relationship disappointments.
I understand that and would like to share more on what guides my thinking and practice as a clinical psychologist. Being both Attachment and Trauma-informed, my main priority is ensuring that you feel safe from the get-go. I believe that a therapeutic relationship and deep healing work are built upon the firm foundations of safety.
Your needs and wellbeing are at the heart of everything we do here. As a collaborator in the therapy process, you are invited to share your thoughts, needs, experiences and preferences, according to your own comfort levels. We’ll take things at your pace, no pressure.
Work Experiences
I am a Singapore Registered Clinical Psychologist and Supervisor trained in Macquarie University (Sydney, Australia). I have been serving in the field of mental health since 2004, across public health institutions including medical, community settings and private practice. These include work stints at the Institute of Mental Health (IMH), Early Psychosis Intervention Program (EPIP-IMH), KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH), and Response, and Early intervention and Assessment in Community mental Health (REACH-KKH) for school students.
I have amassed extensive experience working with clients across various emotional and mental health concerns, such as Mood and emotional dysregulation (i.e. anger episodes, self-harm, suicidal ideation), Anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Trauma, Personality disorders, Perinatal related mood and emotional disturbances.
Interest areas and training background
I am passionate about preventing and treating Attachment and Relational Trauma, which dovetails with my specialization in Perinatal and Infant Mental Health. As a firm believer in and advocate for attachment, I was trained in Sydney in 2014 as a registered Circle of Security Parenting™ (COSP) facilitator.
I have received specialized training in trauma-informed modalities, such as Attachment-Focused Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (AF-EMDR) and Schema Therapy. I was part of the IMH team that completed the Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Intensive Training™ by Behavioral Tech (USA) and conducted DBT skills training groups. I am also trained as a teacher in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT, Oxford Mindfulness Foundation, UK).
Other work appointments
Currently, I am also a locum Clinical Psychologist at KKH, where I work therapeutically within a multi-disciplinary team, supporting women and their families during the perinatal period. Additionally, I am an adjunct psychology lecturer at Temasek Polytechnic, equipping frontliners with psychological skills and knowledge base.

Nature is my sanctuary, whether soaking in the sea, strolling on the beach, or enjoying forest therapy. I savour moments when I can have deep conversations over a cup of my favourite tea, where the true authenticity of our human nature shines through.
I hope to meet you soon!
